Logitech G600 (No recognized device, 5.8000)

Hello!

I love to see the work on logitech mice. I have a Logitech G600, it has 12 buttons on the side, 2 extra on top and a shift-like modifier allowing you to essentially have 28 usable extra buttons.

I’ve been using hacky workarounds like using F14-F20 re-mappings to make things work in the past, but would love to have native BTT integration instead.

I tried the new build 5.800, but when I try to configure Logitech Mouse Configuration, it says “No Supported Mouse Recognized”.

Any ideas how to fix, is the G600 supported yet?

  • OSX 15.7.2
  • Mac Mini
  • Intel
  • Afaik I don’t have Logitech installed. I did however do hardware based configs on the mouse (hard-ware re-map of side buttons).
  • I’m a software engineer at Amazon, iTerm savvy/Technical. Happy to provide any useful technical outputs/logs. I have 2 G600 mice, one work as well as at home.

Happy to buy & ship you a Logitech G600 if it helps with development efforts  . (Or send you equivalent Amazon gift card/donation).

There have been multiple logitech device additions in the newer BTT alphas, the G600 should also work with this but I have not tried it yet. That mouse looks a bit more special though, if it doesn't work with the latest alpha I'll get one and debug it here!

I had a closer look - unfortunately the G300 & G600 are indeed very special as it doesn't use Logitech's standard hid++ protocol.

I think I can add support for it, but I need to move this to a later release.
