Hello, concerning Launcher
- how do I search for folders instead of files ?
- how do I reveal a file or folder in Finder ?
- is it possible to reveal in other file managers like Forklift ?
thank you very much
Hello, concerning Launcher
thank you very much
thank you @Andreas It would be nice to integrate copy and move functions.
good idea!
I suggested it because it possible and very elegant with Alfred (called file actions and configurable). I would definitely use the BTT version if there was one.
Maybe you can describe the exact behavior you'd like for move/copy, then I'll add it to the next build.
open Launcher → find source file or folder →reveal→ select copy or move →new search for target folder →send notification when it's done.
At the time of the search for a target folder, it would be very nice to have integration with the default folder X app which has a very elegant way of managing recent and favorite folders. It appears anytime I "Save As" in any application.
I must say that for the moment BTT Launcher has done a poor job of finding files and folders (ie often does not find files and folders) that I find immediately with Alfred or Finder. Something is not working correctly.
Simple example: I have a folder called "Bear Notes", a sub sub folder in Documents which I find immediately with Alfred or Spotlight but not with Launcher. One of many examples. Just to show that it's not an indexing problem on my side.
Does it just take a while or does it not show up at all? (I just check with various nested folders, they seem to show fine here but might take a moment to show up)
How are you triggering the file search? (I usually do the space, then enter file name path)
I had not triggered files search. Sorry.
Now I find it but:
Also I don't see Space in the documentation except when you mention the usual preview. But I see it when I trigger the file browser
