is there still not simple way to attribute a Keyboard Shortcut (hotkey) to a floating menu item ?

6.545 adds pinning options for the list

Also it's now possible to select multiple items in BTT and add them to the launcher simultaneously.

Oh, that was quick

But unfortunately, nothing is triggered when the list is pinned... at least not here.

what kind of actions are you trying? It seems to trigger fine here but I only tested some things

Any. Insert time or date, transform text ...

I'm on Ventura.

ah so all generating keyboard output? I'll check, maybe I need to adjust the timing for these a bit to work across systems

Yeah, now that you mention it... other triggers seem to work.

6.547 should resolve this (uploading), it now uses the same triggering style as a pinned clipboard manager

Yeah, with 6.547 everything seems to be fine, thanks, Andreas

One more thing: Clicking the pin icon works fine. But a shortcut to pin/unpin would be even better.

I could probably achieve that with a condition too... if window (name) is visible, then...

But it would be better if it were built-in.

Maybe it's a bug... or maybe not... just to be sure.

Only one list can be open at a time; not multiple at once. Right?

And: If two different lists, opened with different shortcuts, have the same setting here...

...then changing one setting (eg. moving the list) affects both lists. That's not ideal.

Currently not, but I think I can add support for this while pinned.

That would be very useful. One use case would be to have a narrow pinned list at the edge of the screen, for example, to transform text.

And still have the option to open another list to trigger something else.

And, if I am allowed  ... these two actions

use the same type of window as the lists. Right? If you could pin them small at the edge of the screen, you’d have a small but always-visible window with all running apps/windows.

In a way, this is already possible. The window stays open for a while and then closes. I'm not entirely sure what criteria determine this

I just wanted to gently ask if that's still on your to-do list and, if so, when you plan to implement it.

6.621 adds support for multiple pinned searchable lists. I have only tested in on macOS 26 so far.

Works, thank you! Very useful for me.

Would you be willing to do the same for the two actions below? It looks like it's the same type of window.

I mean the “pin” option.
