Is there an issue with excessive system resource usage of BTT on macOS 26?

Hello, after upgrading to macOS 26, I found that BTT is using a lot of system resources, 5-10 times more than before the system upgrade. I updated to the latest version of BTT, but it doesn't seem to help much. What is the problem and can it be resolved later? I have been using BTT for over a year and hope the problem can be solved, thank you. I am a licensed user.

what exactly do you mean by resource usage, CPU?

In Activity Monitor, BTT shows an energy impact that can reach over 100 at its highest, and CPU usage can reach over 30. This isn't just a short-term, brief spike. I just upgraded to the latest version, and it seems a bit better now.

That is not normal, during standard usage (i.e. UI closed), CPU usage should hover around 0-2%

Energy Impact is a hard to read metric, it only makes sense when comparing it relative to other apps on your machine. Also mostly only the 12 hour window makes sense to look at.

If you are seeing constantly higher CPU usage, what kind of triggers do you use? Do you have any scripts that are running repeatedly?

The only difference from before is that I upgraded the system. I've already turned off all the scripts. Now the CPU usage is at 6-7%, occasionally exceeding 10%. It's much better than at the beginning, I wonder if there's some kind of conflict with the system.

Sometimes after an upgrade macOS does a lot of reindexing, which could also influence BTT. Possibly give it a few more hours, then check again.

It's also possible. I'll watch it for a few days. Before the upgrade, it does occupy 2% of the CPU.

I've found that disabling the snap area feature largely restores CPU usage to its original state. Is this feature conflicting with the 26 system? Confused.
