Identify when app switcher is active?

I basically wanna remap some keys only when app switcher is active, and after that reset the mapping, trying to create a conditional for it but idk how to check if app switcher is active

This would be much easier if you use 3rd party app switcher like AltTab or maybe the BTT window switcher - action "Show Window Switcher for All Open Apps".

I've also tried but cannot find a reliable way to detect when the built-in app switcher is active.
