Hello, if I paste an image in the HUD overlay action
1- the image does not display. Only the background is displayed
2- Hide on Click no longer works
3- is there any way to display a table with HUD overlay. If not, is there an alternative because it's something I would use a lot. By table I mean most commonly copy paste a group of selected cells in a table in Numbers
4- wish list: option to clear the HUD Overlay by pressing the escape key. Faster than clicking on the overlay itself

for images you’d need to use the „icon -> from image“ option, the macOS textfield allows to insert imaged, but they can not be rendered this way.
In general you‘d need to use a floating menu if you need more customizability. HUDs are intentionally lightweight, they never take keyboard focus, thus they also can not be closed with esc
I'm sorry: I don't understand. Floating Menus basically display a menu of triggers or actions. What is the trigger or action to display an image or table or in simpler terms a text in RTFD format
That's not a great idea, but HUDs have names—I see “Untitled 1500” here.
If this window is visible, pressing ESC could briefly open an invisible HUD that closes the other one.
ESC could probably always open a HUD to close the other, which would make the setup easier

Sorry, I don't have time to test that. The HUD that's supposed to close needs this option.
Then it should be enough for the ESC HUD to appear for 0.1 seconds... I think
