How to debug ChatGPT action failures?

Describe the bug

None of my ChatGPT actions are currently working with Deepseek. If I use curl directly with the same API key / URL / model name works. BTT is silent, no errors are returned. Is there a way to make this action more verbose so more detailed logs can be recovered?

Hm, when I try to do the test (Test Execute at the bottom of the Use ChatGPT dialog). I get a crash, perhaps why no log or more details are shown?

better use the modern ai assistants, these specific ChatGPT API's have been created years ago specifically for the default chatgpt api.

After you have configured an AI assistant you can use actions like "Run AI Task In Background" if you don't need the rich interface

The crash seems related to the new form system, I'll have a look at that.

I have fixed the test button in 6.839 (uploading) - it might show the exact error now.

Thanks. While waiting for that build to propagate, I never figured out how to access the AI agent in the background but use the output somewhere else? Run AI in background doesn't offer any options -- Ah OK, the grey test shows me what I need BTTLastAIResult variable -- thanks!

The build is already available (via check for alpha version updates)

Can you give a concrete example of what you'd like to do ? THen I can tell you how to setup a modern agent to achieve it.

In my previous workflows I would take the selection, do some transformation, then copy the original text and transformed text together (before \n after) so I can choose to just paste it to overwrite the original.:

There is no prepend option, and I was hoping this would work but it doesn't seem to find the original selected text:

With one of the modern assistants you'd basically create a skill that has these tools and the selected text context:

get_selected_text, replace_selected_text, run_javascript, set_clipboard_content, show_chat_status, transform_selected_text, show_hud

Then in the "Run AI Task In Background" you'd directly prompt it (upper case transformation example):

Transform the selected text to upper case, then copy the selected text and the transformed text to my clipboard - separate them with a new line and show a HUD when finished.

I'm currently working on making the UI for skill editing etc. easier.
