How to continuously trigger action when keyboard shortcut keys are pressed down?

I have CMD + F1 set up to Increase Keyboard Brightness. I want to be able to keep holding the shortcut and keep increasing the brightness.

is that possible without any delay kind of like how Mac brightness keys work?

Does key repeat not work for you? This would be an example of fast, without delay.

That worked! Had to tick and then untick a couple of times to make it work.
