# Hold down key to trigger

Is there a way to activate an action only when a key is held down? The Eject key, in my case, I'd like to repurpose, but only when it's held down and not single pressed.  
In [this post](https://community.folivora.ai/t/keyboard-shortcuts-for-holding-down-keys/25632), the ability was discussed. Apparently it's possible, but a solution was never found for OP. Is it possible in BTT?

I'm not sure, but have you tried the new short/long press function? Maybe that will work.
