Device information:

  • Type of Mac: MacBook Pro 2018
  • macOS version: 10.14.6
  • BetterTouchTool version: 3.335

do you have experimental dropbox/icloud sync enabled? This can currently cause such issues in some situations. I’d recommend to disable it for now

Nope sync is not activated.
I restarted BTT and my mac multiple time yesterday, which didnt change anything and kept it disabled for the rest of the day. Today it just works much better but still is at the top 3 CPU huggers with around 8% not doing anything (touchbar has just static items loaded).
TBH i dont know what it did before since i normally dont care as long as iStats cpu line is a flat line, but i bet 8% is still not needed to display a static touch bar.

Nope if it’s static without repeating Apple Scripts it should use a lot less.

If you want you can go to help -> export -> export diagnostic debug information and send the result to me (andreas@folivora.ai), then I’ll have a look!
