hiding window & reopen

Describe the bug
Sometimes when I minimize a window and then use the "hide all window" function, the minimized window doesn't open or doesn't react. I need to restart the affected software. When I retry the bug, it happens after 5-20 trys. It seems like the "hide all window" function does work different than normal minimizing since it instantly hides the window, there is no animation.

Device information:

  • Type of Mac: MacBook Air m2
  • macOS version: ventura 13.2.1
  • BetterTouchTool version: (please post the exact version - not just "the latest one")4.062

Minimizing and hiding are two different macOS functionalities. Hidden windows can usually be restored by clicking the dock icon of an app.

Unfortunately BTT just calls a specific macOS function to hide all windows. If there is a bug, it's in macOS ;-(

is there a way to hide a single window? then this bug wouldn't be a problem since it only happens when I minimize a window.

Unfortunately only apps can be hidden, not single windows. (Using cmd+h)

Maybe "hiding" (move) a single window on another desktop will help?
