Back from vacation! 
Currenty uploading a first new alpha 6.528 (a bit experimental), I hope it will resolve the first character being deleted issue. Responsiveness will improve significantly in the coming days.
One new experimental feature is importing compatible extensions from other launchers (for now only from raycast's open source extensions extensions/extensions at main · raycast/extensions · GitHub ). Currently these might or might not work and they will definitely look different.
