Disabling Horizontal Scrolling does not always work with magic mouse

Hi,
I switched from MagicPref as it's no longer is supported, and was hoping that the disabling of horizontal scrolling would be working. Which it doesn't all of the time - which is frustrating.
Is there any development in this area?
