Delayed Mouse/Keyboard Input

Describe the bug
When I have BetterTouchTool running mouse and keyboard input is delayed or ignored. Clicks are either ignored or massively delayed. Text entry into a newly focused field is delayed or characters are skipped. Both behaviors stop immediately upon quitting BetterTouchTool. Also BTT shortcuts are very unreliable.

Let me know what other info you need to diagnose this issue. Currently BTT is unusable.

Perhaps you've some complicated actions defined that are there by mistake / overlook? It happend to me a few times, that after playing around with BTT I've left some actions that shouldn't be there and quirky stuff happened, too (for example I've assigned some actions for letters such as a y f by mistake and couldn't type them anymore, lol)

I have a similar problem, though its intermittent (which makes it even more annoying). Right now BTT is working fine. But often there is a long delay in trackpad gestures taking effect; they often take effect several seconds after being activated, when I have switched to a different window or tab, causing unwanted actions. And when this problem is happening I also have long delays in other system interaction (the Alfred searchbar opening, switching between windows using non-BTT methods etc). Quitting BTT seems to stop the problem.

This is probably not caused by BTT but by some other app that is delaying the event stream. The problem is, the more apps intercept the macOS event stream the bigger the delay gets.

Can you think of other apps that would listen to e.g. keyboard events on your system?

I am also having problem with CLICKING only.

Left mouse click simply does not work for me. I am using "fn+click" or "option+click" instead, then I get no problems.

I finally solve the problem by removing usb network adaptor.

Touchpad clicks not always registering with OS

Ah I just remembered two things: I once had a user with a broken trackpad that caused such behavior. It constantly produced phantom touches even when he was not touching it. This caused BTT to block clicks in some situations. You can check this in BetterTouchTools "Live View" One other user with a similar issue had a broken usb or bluetooth device connected to his Mac, which caused the bluetooth stack to reset every few miliseconds also resulting in blocked clicks.

in the mouse > general > speed settings

I move it to the fastest speed but the white magic mouse I have (it's the old one) is the same speed not matter if I put it at the lowest or highest speed.

am I doing something wrong?
