Describe the bug
A use the customVariables to use in the conditional groups, but I no longer works, yet it used to.
I have this code, and it was working well.
tell application "BetterTouchTool"
set_persistent_string_variable "customVariable1" to "CONTROL_STRIP_MEDIUM"
end tell
It just shows the variable as empty.

I also tried it in Javascript, just for sure. Did not work.
