Hi,

BetterTouchTool crashes when I drag a Custom Apple Script Slider Widget on my Touch Bar.

System:

- MacBook Pro 13-inch, M1 (2020), model MacBookPro17,1
- macOS 27.0.1 (26A434)
- BetterTouchTool 6.885, build 2026100205

Background:
I was configuring a YouTube video scrubber in an app-specific Touch Bar setup for a standalone Chrome-installed YouTube web app.

The original slider used AppleScript to read and set the HTML5 video playback position through Chrome. After crashes, we simplified the SAME widget to remove all browser access and periodic polling. Dragging that simplified widget still caused BTT to crash.

Minimal configuration tested:

- Widget: Custom Apple Script Slider Widget
- Value script: return 0.5
- Script update interval: 0
- Run script on initialization: off
- Assigned action: Run Apple Script (async in background)
- Action script:

Steps that reproduced the crash:

1. Enable this widget in the YouTube app-specific Touch Bar configuration.
2. Switch to the YouTube web app.
3. Drag the slider.

Expected:
The slider moves without affecting playback or system volume, and BTT remains running.

Actual:
BTT quits. macOS generates a crash report.

Both reports show:

- EXC\_CRASH / SIGABRT
- abort() called
- Faulting thread: 0, com.apple.main-thread
- BTT image offsets 46469864 and 8534552 immediately above abort()

Reports attached:

- BetterTouchTool-2026-10-03-155454.ips — original configuration
- BetterTouchTool-2026-10-03-161047.ips — simplified configuration

The slider has now been disabled. No further crash testing has been attempted.

This was tested using the same widget after simplifying its scripts, not a fresh default widget. I can provide the widget’s exported JSON if helpful.

Could you symbolicate these frames and advise whether this is a slider/configuration issue or a compatibility issue with this BTT/macOS version?

Thank you!
