Device information:

  • Type of Mac:
  • macOS version:
  • BetterTouchTool version: (please post the exact version - not just "the latest one")

Additional information (e.g. crash logs, related issues, etc.):

is it one with a touch bar? There is currently a bug in Tahoe that crashes BTT on Touch Bar macs. The latest BTT builds contain a workaround for that.

I find it very buggy on Tahoe also. 2023 MBP. After a keypress shortcut is invoked - command down for example to center window on screen - things go haywire. Trackpad stops responding to taps (haptic feedback no longer works for a while) and system can hang for a while. Sometimes beachballs in various apps and trackpad gestures (four finger swipe to reveal desktop for example) stops working and then starts working again after 5-10 seconds.

@snOOm that does sound more like a configuration issue than a Tahoe issue. Can you share you setup? Maybe something is triggering a endless recursion, which would explain the behavior you see.

Thanks for the reply. I have taken a look and there was some superfluous items from previous cloud presets so I’ve cleaned everything up and will see if it clears up the issues.. I’ll report back in a few days.

Seems OK now. Looks like you were 100% spot on with the config issue! Thanks! Clean up your old triggers on new installs folks!
