Crash when opening Configuration panel

Describe the bug
Opening the Configuration Panel crashes BTT. I haven’t changed anything in BTT’s configuration recently. No idea what’s causing this. Tried restarting the system, updating (including to alpha version), disabling/enabling BTT.

Otherwise, BTT still works fine. But I can’t change any of its configuration :slight_smile:

Device information:

  • Type of Mac: macbook pro 2021
  • macOS version: sequoia 15.2 (24C101)
  • BetterTouchTool version: 4.9999

Here’s two screen recordings.

  1. The first one shows the initial behavior I described initially, i.e. crashing when opening the config panel.
  1. I was able to switch the view very quickly before the app crashes from "Named triggers" to something else, and now opening the configuration doesn’t crash. However, clicking on any of the named triggers (e.g. in the All Configured Triggers view) still crashes BTT.

It definitely seems there’s an issue with one of the Named triggers.

it would be great if you could go to Help => Export Diagnostic Debug Information and send the result to me (andreas@folivora.ai). This should allow me to quickly fix the issue. I assume this is the same issue: BTT v4.9999 crashes when trying to open configuration - #2 by Andreas_Hegenberg

thanks a lot! Unfortunately I'm not yet able to reproduce it here and can't think of a possible reason yet. Will try on another machine tomorrow!

For you it still immediately crashes when selecting the item shown in your screen recording?

No worries, thanks for taking a look. Yes it still crashes as soon as I click an item in the "Automation, Named triggers..." category.

@Andreas_Hegenberg I just updated to 5.05 and that seemed fixed!
