Context menu slow to react to keyboard input

Describe the bug
Context menu fails to react to keyboard focus right away

I have an action to show menu bar in a context menu. However, it is slow to gain keyboard focus, so if I invoke this action I see the following difference in handling keyboard and mouse input:

  • + mouse: I can select any item right away and only get a small delay when the menu item is opened
  • - keyboard: pressing cursor key down has no effect for some time.

Affected input device (e.g. MacBook Trackpad, Magic Mouse/Trackpad, Touch Bar, etc.): Keyboard

Screenshots

This shows 2 instances: selection with a mouse and a keyboard. The first one reacts instantly. The second one has a delay (I press arrow down right after I invoke the BTT command, but it only reacts in ~1 second

Device information:

  • Type of Mac: MBP
  • macOS version: Ventura 13.4.1
  • BetterTouchTool version: 4.576

Additional information (e.g. crash logs, related issues, etc.):

Maybe it's blocked on full menu parsing or something? Would be great if it could react right away and if a specific menu isn't parsed yet, just delay showing only that one
