Conditional Activation Group not working

Using Better Touch Tool version 5.271 (2025031204), I have a Conditional Activation Group set up as follows:

  • AppName CONTAINS "iTerm" OR
  • appName CONTAINS "iTerm2" OR
  • appName CONTAINS "Terminal" OR
  • appName CONTAINS "tmux"

And within that group I have a keyboard shortcut set up to map ^B to ⌘B. So in other words, I want Ctrl - B to be able to "bold" whatever is highlighted, except when I'm in the terminal. Because tmux uses Ctrl - B for its own purposes there. But it's not working.

In the terminal, Ctrl - B appears to be getting mapped to ⌘B. Of course if I disable BTT for the Terminal app, then there's no problem. But I really want to be able to use BTT in my Terminal for other reasons. And one more weird thing I noticed: if I toggle the box to show the HUD overlay on this keyboard shortcut, and fill in any text in the HUD title, and do NOT press Save, then toggle back to my Terminal, the keyboard shortcut will work, until I lose focus and regain focus again.

I could make a YouTube video demonstrating the behavior if it's not clear... just let me know. But in any case it's not working for some reason.

best post a screenshot of your condition setup then I can tell what's wrong

Nevermind, I realized it was my mistake... I forgot to change the dropdown from "Any" to "None"
