Cmd + click isn’t working to select multiple items. Shift + click isn’t working either. Both actions move the selection to whatever item was last clicked. This is only occurring within the BetterTouchTool App; command + click is working fine for all other apps and system files (MacOS Tahoe 26.2)
Not sure if this is related or a separate issue, but Cmd + A is greyed out and non-functioning (select all) and I can’t click + drag to select multiple triggers either.
Reset and confirmed security permission and app is up to date. Also tried deleting the app and reinstalling.
Note:
Before bug reporting, please make sure you have tried the latest (alpha) version of BetterTouchTool and that you have already tried to restart your system :-). If you encounter a crash, please attach a crash log from the macOS Console.app's "Crash Reports" section.

Unfortunately I was forced to migrate away from some old UI technology (storyboards) due to some bugs in the newer Xcode versions that make these impossible to use. That required a complete rewrite of the UI, which causes a few hiccups currently.
6.144 should fix various things and add the new Tahoe styling. It might look quite different than before on older macOS versions, I'll test with these older versions tomorrow. However 6.144 might also still be quite broken, it might be a good idea to go back to e.g. 6.139
Not sure if a new update was just released (I’m 99% sure I checked for all updates before posting!), but all my issues listed above have been fixed! Thank you!
I just want to report that this issue is still happening for me, and I have the most recent version of BTT.
BetterTouchTool Version: 6.154
MacOS: Sequoia 15.7.2
mh that issue is definitely resolved (just tried again with 6.161), it was just a missing setting on the tableviews. Does your multi-select work elsewhere?
Yes, my multi-select works elsewhere, such as the Finder window and other apps.
I see a new version (6.165) is available…updating now.
Updated, still can’t do multi-select.
Select All (command-A) has also been greyed out as the OP mentioned.
Oh, I forgot to mention that this issue is on an Intel Mac. It works fine on my MacBook Air M1. Could the Intel factor have something to do with it?
No, Intel does not matter - that will work the same way. My only explanation would be that the intel machine is not actually running the latest version, maybe something went wrong with the update?
Hmmm. Ok, I’ll keep trying different things and let you know what happens.
Now I’ve rebooted, and I’ve updated MacOS to Sequoia 15.7.3. I’ve updated BTT again. I’ve restarted BTT. I still cannot do multi selections or Select All.
ah I see you are using the old list based view mode. Let me check that. (That mode is disabled by default for new users since quite a while and will be removed at some point)
