Describe the bug
“Remap Keyboard Key” instantly resets when selecting the “To Key”. After selecting a “To” key, the option is deselected almost immediately. This means the user is unable to create a key mapping.
I believe I’ve given BTT all the necessary permissions in the Privacy & Security Window, including Input Monitoring (which was not prompted for by the app).
The complete permissions given are: Accessibility, App Management, Automation, Input Monitoring.
Note that this is on a brand new device and BTT is the first app I have installed
. I don’t have any other input monitoring tools like Karabiner, so a conflict is very unlikely.
Affected input device (e.g. MacBook Trackpad, Magic Mouse/Trackpad, Touch Bar, etc.):

Screenshots
If applicable, add screenshots to help explain your problem. (You can just paste or drag them here)
Once any key is selected, it’s near-instantly deselected automatically, so the state returns to the initial image.
Device information:
- Type of Mac: MacBook Pro M5
- macOS version: Tahoe 26.2
- BetterTouchTool version: 6.413
Additional information (e.g. crash logs, related issues, etc.):
I have tried a restart and it did not help. I tried different key mapping combinations but the result is the same.
