Note:
Before bug reporting, please make sure you have tried the latest (alpha) version of BetterTouchTool and that you have already tried to restart your system :-). If you encounter a crash, please attach a crash log from the macOS Console.app's "Crash Reports" section.
- Stream Deck button fires correctly via BTT's "Run" button, always.
- Via physical key press, only the button currently in list position #1 executes correctly.
- Every other button in the list, when physically pressed, executes position #1's action instead of its own.
- Confirmed by moving different buttons into position 1 — whichever one is there works, and all others stop working the moment they're no longer #1.
CLARIFICATION: there are 9 working triggers When I add the 10th that is when the issue arises. Moving the 10th to first allows it to work but all following triggers stop working
how does your configuration look like? Are you using the new floating menu based setup?
Hey andreas. Nope. Just all of sudden, when I add a new stream deck button it runs the first-in-list button (first in list in btt). If I move the new button to top of list, it works, but then all the following buttons do not work. Parenthetically, it was working and then suddenly stopped. So no I cannot program any additional buttons. Note that the “run” button in btt does properly run the new button actions
which version of BTT are you on?
Is this with BTT having full control over the stream deck or in plugin mode (using the elgato software)?
plug-in mode as I have been using for quite some time already with no issues. should I uninstall/re install btt? I made a backup file. latest version of btt

additional data: ok.... so: have 8 btt buttons working properly in stream deck. as soon as I try to add another, only the first in list (in btt) works, and the rest stop responding. meanwhile, the new trigger will not run all the programmed actions, only the last. note I have uninstalled/reinstalled btt and Elgato and restarted computer
Ah plugin mode could be the issue. Is that button maybe in some Multi Action / folder / second page? Which Stream Deck are you using?
To make plugin mode more stable you could use the identifier field in the Elgato property inspector + "fixed identifier" option on the BTT trigger, which decouples the mapping from list order.
If possible ( after pressing the problematic button) please go to Help => Export Basic Debug Logs and send the result to me (andreas@folivora.ai) this should give me some more hints about what is going on.

I see no "property inspector" option in Stream Deck (I have an XL). Engaging the fixed identifier resulted in no triggers working. I use the "display name" in BTT and that is the Stream Deck identifier. Works fine .... until it didn't!
UPDATE: ok. "fixed identifier" is working. able to add additional triggers. that may have solved it
FYI the final fix was after every change I have to restart BTT. But all good. Thanks Andreas. Super great app!
