My "workaround" is that I don't use Logitech Options+ at all and just use BTT (for some UseCases in combination with Better-Mouse). Be aware that deinstalling of the Logitech software can be tricky - there is a detailed how to on the Better-Mouse website.

Andreas will release the fist version of the basic support for most Logitech Mouses next week - this should help to get even more rid of Options+. (See quote below)

Basic support for most Logitech Mouses will be there next week. The interface will be basic at the beginning but it should all work. I'll post instructions here once it is released.

At the beginning these features will be available:

• Predefined Actions for changing DPI, Report Rate, LED Color and Scroll Mode and Onboard Profiles
• Ability to recognize and remap all of the Logitech mouse buttons
• Scriptable via Java Script
