BUG? Clipboard Manager

Unfortunately, one of the last updates has introduced bugs to the Clipoaord Manager ... in any case, it looks like this to me.

  • Sinppet groups that are opened directly are not remembered. Which is bad for me.

  • and visually this often happens

On the other hand this works now :slightly_smiling_face:

very possible because there have been some significant changes, I’ll have a look! Best downgrade for now - or wait for the fix on Monday or Tuesday

I can wait

Hi Frank, I'm trying to reproduce this but am currently unable to. Maybe I misunderstood the issue.
Could you describe it again?

I understood you are using this option but it doesn't open the correct snippet group, is that right?:

Hi Andreas, I hope I'm not misunderstanding anything

Anyway, it worked fine before. A shortcut opened the “NOTES” group directly. I only inserted the name. This number comes from BTT. This is just one example of many.

Now BTT opens ... I don't know, something.

weird it seems to work ok here, but I'm not using the snippets as much as you do. I'm now trying to reset some caches before displaying a snippet group in 5.479, maybe you can check whether that helps.

I have set up two groups again. These now seem to be working. I am now setting up the others again. Let me test this for a while.

For now, thanks

But why do some groups show this number and others don't?

the random unique is used for identifying a specific clipboard manager configuration. You can change it to any unique name you want. If you don’t enter anything BTT will auto-generate such a unique id.

Good, but only sometimes and sometimes not  Is that how it should be? Or do problems arise when nothing is generated?

At the moment everything is running as it should. With and without a number.

So far v 5.479 is solid. So, all is fine. :slightly_smiling_face:

I noticed something else. When I add a new item to a snippet group, it is automatically added to the clipboard history too. Not a problem, but I find it unnecessary. :man_shrugging:

true, I'll disable that!

Ah, and one more detail. If a snippet group is opened directly, the first (topmost) item is always displayed.

Ok, that can have advantages. I would prefer the last selected item to remain, even if it is not the top item. What do you think?
