I've installed a new version of BTT (4.074). on my MBP 14, Ventura 13.3.1 (a)

I double click and nothing opens (although it appears in activity monitor).
If I delete the app from Accessibility then the laptop will freeze for a little then come back to life. Then I see the BTT preference window.
I've reset the preferences using _sudo tccutil reset All com.hegenberg.BetterTouchTool_ but nothing works. I can't upload the crash report
[BetterTouchTool-2023-05-11-132329.crash](https://community.folivora.ai/uploads/short-url/chJbrN7vgAjEl9vcrEsu7HhDtrJ.crash) (20.1 KB)

Can you please advise?

Try to enable safe mode with this terminal command (while BTT is quit):

```auto
defaults write com.hegenberg.BetterTouchTool BTTSafeModeEnabled YES
```

It looks like BTT is trying to execute some terminal command, maybe you have set one to execute regularly or on start. For some reason that seems to crash your BTT. Unfortunately that crash log doesn't contain many details, but maybe you can think of any terminal command you have configured.

I'd disable the terminal command and then disable safe mode again.

By the way: before deleting an app from accessibility, make sure to quit it first. There is a macOS bug that causes the system to completely freeze when removing an app while it is still running. BTT has some workaround for that, which can unfreeze the system after a few seconds.
