BTT Mobile Testflight Beta

good idea !
I will add that action to my menu navigation actions, so that the Mac app is opened / (re)focused automatically...

ah I see. I have been thinking about adding a remote view widget, my plan was to allow streaming specific windows or portions of windows to BTT Mobile (and allow touch interaction). However I haven’t done much testing with this yet, I‘ll need to see how well that works

Hi Andreas,

a suggestion:
Could the BTT icon in the top Mac menu bar change color (for example) to indicate that a BTT Mobile app is connected.
There no indication for the Mac user that a 'remote' app is active.

This looks like a Stream Deck Mobile killer! If this is released on the Watch, that would make it so amazing!

Unfortunately Apple doesn’t allow low level networking on Apple Watch standalone apps (only for music streaming and voip apps), so this will probably always need a connected iPhone. Apart from that limitation I think the current architecture will work fine on Apple Watch, however big menus will probably cause performance issues. I‘ll definitely try to create a build with Watch support

Would it be possible to use Siri with BTT Mobile on iOS / iPadOS ?

For example to say: "Go Back" to trigger the button action.

apple has announced this (control individual app functionality via siri) on wwdc last year, but as far as I know it’s still not available

My btt mobile has been automatically cycling through disconnection and reconnection and cannot be used normally.

The mobile phone and computer terminals are both the latest versions.

with latest you mean 5.301 (BTT) and 0.21 (BTT Mobile)?
I have gotten a lot of positive feedback on this combination so far, is there anything special about your network maybe? Firewall maybe?

By the way, BTT Mobile now has almost 300 testers on Testflight and the feedback has been super valuable, thanks everybody for testing!! This week I'm not working much, but next week there will be a big new BTT Mobile release

This could be a great tool for old devices to use them as a interactive control devices. The only problem mostly is the lowest compatible iOS. Maybe you can set the minimum low, because there is mostly not much good use for working old devices.

sorry I can't go lower than iOS 17

Although less flexible, TouchOSC (sending MIDI to BTT) could be a nice option to use old devices as controllers.

Andreas,

the new 5.304 alpha does not connect anymore to BTT Mobile v0.21

ah I know, this should be the last breaking change to connection and authentication. New testflight build is already in review by apple

Hallo Andreas,
I have your example menu running on two devices...would it possble to navigate menus independently on each device ?

for example to add an option like
"Execute only on that device where the button was pressed"

thx,
Christian

yes, you can use the bottom most dropdown on the right to select the device. Need to work on the formatting of these options to make it more obvious - it’s missing a title

that is not what I meant...
if I select a device in the bottom most dropdown it will not work on others (that is fine)

I meant:
it should trigger on All devices, but not at the "same time", or in other words "On All devices, but only trigger on that device on which the button was pressed'. otherwise all menus shows simultaneously and navigation on different devices would not the independent.

ah makes sense, I‘ll add that option
