BTT menubar icon won't show in menubar after updating to macOS 27

Describe the bug
After updating to macOS 27, the BTT menubar icon is not showing. I have toggled on and off both "Show menu bar icon" in BTT and "Allow in the Menu Bar" for BTT in System Settings, restarting BTT and restarting the mac multiple times after each toggle, but nothing fixes it. Currently, all my other menubar icons are showing. I have always used the trigger "Move Mouse To Top Left Corner" to "Show / Hide Menu Bar Status Icons Items Left Of Specific [BTT] Icon". So now I can't hide the menu bar icons because the BTT one doesn't show.

Affected input device (e.g. MacBook Trackpad, Magic Mouse/Trackpad, Touch Bar, etc.): M3 MBP and M1 iMac

Screenshots

Device information:

  • Type of Mac: M1 iMac and M3 Macbook Pro (same behavior on both)
  • macOS version: MacOS 20
  • BetterTouchTool version: 6.821

Additional information (e.g. crash logs, related issues, etc.) The issue began immediately after updating to macOS 27 on both devices.

can you try triggering the “show / unhide all menu bar status items” action once?

Hmm ... that made the BTT icon appear (it placed it at the far left of the icons, not where it originally was) but the trigger itself "show / unhide all menu bar status items" doesn't work. I changed the action back to "Show / Hide Menu Bar Status Icons Items Left Of Specific [BTT] Icon" and BTT stays in the menu bar but the trigger still doesn't work.
