Describe the bug
BTT keeps hanging at Login and restart automatically and hanging

  • Previously when it was working fine, i changed one of the icon size from original 22 x 22 to 13000000 x 22 by accident and it hanged then till now. Tried deleting and reinstalling and then restarting mac. does not solve the problem.

Affected input device (e.g. MacBook Trackpad, Magic Mouse/Trackpad, Touch Bar, etc.):
Only BTT app affected. Touch Bar remains at APPLE Default

  • macOS version: MAC OS MONTEREY
  • BetterTouchTool version: BetterTouchTool 3.579 (August, 5, 2021)

This is about a touch bar icon, right?

You could try to temporary disable the Touch Bar functionality by entering the BTT safe-mode using this terminal command:

defaults write com.hegenberg.BetterTouchTool BTTSafeModeEnabled YES

Then start BTT and delete the problematic item. Then run this. terminal command to disable safe mode again:

defaults write com.hegenberg.BetterTouchTool BTTSafeModeEnabled NO
