# btt activates fn key automatically turning on my mac dictation

So I have set my better touch tool trackpad such that One finger tap on the top right trackpad scrolls up one page (keyboard button cmd + up) and one finger tap on the bottom right right trackpad scrolls one page below (keyboard button cmd + down)

i have asssigned my fn/globe icon key to another app called macwhisper to help me with dictatation.

this setup worked perfectly fine until yesterday. Now suddenly whenever I tap any of those areas the function keys gets triggered automatically and thus it triggers the dictation in input fields.

please help me fix this.

mac version: sequoia 15.4.1 (macbook air m1)  
btt version: 5.341

arrow keys implicitly contain FN key flags, maybe macwhisper parses these as well (instead it should check whether the real FN is pressed)

Maybe you can configure a different shortcut for mac whisper. Then add a fn based key sequence in BTT that triggers this other shortcut in macwhisper

so i have tried configuring "option + z" for macwhisper dictation.  
next in btt \> key sequences trigger "fn/globe" \> send "option + z" to machwhisper app, but it pressing the "fn/globe key" still doesn't trigger anything.

it's strange because this setup worked perfectly fine a couple days ago.

please help me figure this out.
