BetterTouchTool does not open MacOS Sierra

Describe the bug

Hello, I am a paid user. BetterTouchTool does not open. I get the following message:

You can’t open the application “BetterTouchTool” because it is not responding.

Affected input device (e.g. MacBook Trackpad, Magic Mouse/Trackpad, Touch Bar, etc.):
Macbook Pro 2015

  • Type of Mac: Macbook Pro 2015
  • macOS version: MacOS Sierra
  • BetterTouchTool version: I don't know, because it doesn't open, but I always upgrade to the latest version. The last modified date is August 26, 2018, which is probably when I did the last update.

have you already tried to restart your Mac?

Thanks for the reply...I fixed it without restarting, by just going to Activity Monitor, and force quitting the BTT instances.
