Hi everyone, I just purchased both BetterTouchTool and BetterSnapTool.
I have a 13" MacBook Pro (MBP). When I'm at home, I connect it to an Apple Studio Display (ASD). I would like to save a window layout for when my MBP is connected to the ASD, so I can quickly return to that layout every time I connect my MBP to the ASD.
In BetterSnapTool, I created a keyboard shortcut for "save current window layout as 1" and another for "restore current saved window layout 1". Then I set up the windows on both the MBP and ASD as I want them, and invoked the "save current window layout as 1" shortcut. Then I moved the windows into different positions (just to test this), and invoked the "restore current saved window layout 1" shortcut. Nothing happened. The windows did not snap back to the layout I had saved.
What am I doing wrong?
does BetterSnapTool work in general for snapping your windows?
Otherwise it could be a permission error
Yes, it's working otherwise. I can drag windows to snap, and they will. I also set up a keyboard shortcut to maximize a window, and that worked as well.
It's working now! I'm not sure what happened, I didn't change anything. But all is well.
Thanks for an amazing app!

@Andreas_Hegenberg I spoke too soon.
I created a keyboard shortcut to save the position of windows when my Macbook Pro (MBP) is connected to my Apple Studio Display (ASD). This worked at first. But then I disconnected my MBP and took it with me to a café to work. When I came back, reconnected it to the ASD, and invoked the shortcut, the windows did not snap back to the saved position. (All of the windows stayed on my MBP instead of returning to the ASD, where they were saved.)
Is this expected behavior? Or is something not working right?
