I would like to use BetterSnapTool heavily through keyboard shortcuts, but what I find quite bothersome is that it's only possible to disable animations for actions iniated by the trackpad. By comparison, in the Magnet app (which doesn't support any trackpad actions), there are no animations at all. An action such as placing an app window to the right half of the screen just happens instantly. I think it should be easy to make that possible for BST.
if you are running macOS Sequoia, BetterSnapTool by default integrates with the native macOS snapping - which always has animations.
If you want to disable them you can switch to the classic snapping mode.
Afterwards you can customize animation etc. here:
Dang, I don't know how I missed that. Works like a charm. As of this point, there is only one thing I think this app could do a bit better - when I pin an app window to always stay on top, it should make this more obvious. On Windows, I use a "PowerToys" utility for this (the one called "Always on Top" iirc) and when I set an app to always be on top, it adds a prominent border to the app window (fully customizable - I set it to be orange and around 3px), as well as plays a sound. That way it's always clear when some app window is pinned, as well as when you invoked the action to pin/unpin it (as indicated by the sound).
