Basic set up gives “You have not yet configured actions"

Describe the bug
I’m experimenting with a touch bar setup where most actions are disabled by default, except for a couple gesture actions. With these actions configured but no visible buttons, I get a notice saying “You have not yet configured actions in BetterTouchTool” (see attached). I think it really means buttons, not actions – can this alert be hidden in my setup? It defeats the purpose of what I'm trying to achieve - a mostly disabled touch bar.

easy workaround for now: add a black button and don't assign an action.
