Basic keyboard shortcut no longer functions for me

I used have a single key on my keyboard turn off the touch bar at the top of my mac (OS13.6 Ventura). As of getting it refurbished and re-downloading BTT, this configuration does not work anymore.
Very little else do I use this software for. Any suggestions?

Can you post a few more details? what key did you use and which action did you assign to achieve this?

Hi Andreas,

I would usually assign ~ to this function in the past, and assign it to achieve "Hide touch bar"
In the past this worked like a charm. Am only wondering now if "hide touch bar" is referring to my the mac touch strip or BTT's bar, which is also listed as a option in this drop-down tab.

To restate again, all I did in the past was press ~ and have the strip turn off until pressing again

Thank you

Hide Touch Bar is only referring to the BetterTouchTool Touch Bar, so this would still show the system Touch Bar.

Maybe what you did in the past was opening an empty BTT Touch Bar (which would just appear black), and then closing it again? (Or use the "Toggle BetterTouchTool Touch Bar" action, which would also work if you only had one black button configured in BTT)

I can post a full example tomorrow if necessary. Or maybe you still have your old setup somewhere you can export it from?

Hi Andreas, yes, that's exactly what i did in the past.

a short tutorial would be very appreciated, thanks
