Apps Briefly Freeze Potentially Caused By BTT ?

Hi, I’m a long-time Mac user and fairly new to BTT. It’s an amazing tool and I’d really like to keep using it long term, but I’ve run into an annoying issue that’s been bothering me. I’m curious if anyone else has experienced this or if there’s a solution.

Note:
Before bug reporting, please make sure you have tried the latest (alpha) version of BetterTouchTool and that you have already tried to restart your system :-). If you encounter a crash, please attach a crash log from the macOS Console.app's "Crash Reports" section.

Describe the bug
When using BTT, my MacBook occasionally freezes for about 10 seconds. The issue happens randomly but is quite annoying.

By “freeze,” I mean the system becomes completely unresponsive: clicking on apps does nothing, windows cannot be closed or minimized, and even the top menu bar does not respond. During that time, I basically cannot interact with the system at all.

I’m fairly confident the issue is related to BTT. I disabled BTT for several days and the problem never occurred. However, once I turned BTT back on, the freezes started happening again.

I’m using a company-provided MacBook, so I’m not sure if there might be any permission or system policy restrictions involved.

In terms of configuration, I’ve only set up a single gesture: a 3-finger swipe down mapped to Cmd+W to close a window. This is the only custom gesture I’m using, everything else is left at the default settings.

Affected input device (e.g. MacBook Trackpad, Magic Mouse/Trackpad, Touch Bar, etc.):

Screenshots
It’s really difficult to take screenshot for my issue.
