As complained about in other posts, my application specific floating menu (Ableton Live in this case), appears fine when I run the app, but if I switch away from that app, then back; the menu is gone. I have to restart BTT in order to get it to show again. Is this normal (I notice there is a 'restart better touch tool' option - suggesting that this iS what you have to do.)
Likewise, when I am creating the menu in BTT and using the 'emulate selected app' option, so that I can see what I am doing, if I click away from BTT then back, the demo menu I'm designing is gone. I have to restart BTT to get it back again. (And yes, I am switching that emulate option off when I want to try the menu in the actual app.
I haven't tested this, but you can probably use the “specific app was activated” trigger (name of your app) and the predefined action “show floating menu”.
That should cause your menu to always appear when that specific app becomes the front app... at least, I think so
This is not normal, the menu should automatically come back once you switch back to the app.
Which version of BTT are you on?
I just tried and it seems to work fine here for the standard case.
If you are showing the application specific menu using an action, and you want it to automatically reappear next time without the action, you need to enable this option:
"Show Via Action, Restore When App Becomes Active Again"
