Applescript showing volume status no longer updates

Describe the bug
Touch bar trigger using applescript set to execute script every .03 seconds. When volume is changed, btt is acting like there is no change, but when I run the script manually, it reports back correctly.

This was a working touch bar button that I've been using for 2 years

I have tested the following script:

and i noted that if you put the refresh rate at 0.1 second that script works but indeed not at 0.03s.
0.03s is very likely to be too short and that the script might not have the time to finish that the next one start (likely killing the previous one)

BTT has a built in "self ddos" protection, so that it doesn't kill your performance by executing a script too often. I think a repeat rate of 0.03 might trigger that protection. (And you really shouldn't run any Apple Script at such an interval for performance reasons)

However if you haven't changed that repeat rate it is definitely possible that something changed in the current alpha, I'm reworking a lot of the internal things. I'll have a closer look soon.
