Just tried on a different MacBook running Sequoia 15.5 while only using the built-in screen (so no external monitor or clamshell mode usage) and also running into the same issue.
Maybe it's due to a third party program I have installed, a specific setting or something else, guess waiting for other users' feedback could be useful to rule some stuff out.
Anyway, really appreciate the help and quick responses
Might be interesting to try 5.484 or so because for these I know that quite a few users have been using it successfully. (Only in the recent ones I added some improvements to handle some special cases and make it faster, maybe there some issue was introduced)
I'm currently still using yabai to disable animations. By the way, does BTT support removing transition animations when switching between fullscreen and non-fullscreen apps?
Youve actually managed to make spaces usable with promotion after apple not fixing it for 4 YEARS. They still havent fixed it in Tahoe either. Useless morons, they should hire you
This is great, thanks! I noticed a small bug with animations disabled. I have a setup where my first monitor has multiple full screen anpps and my second monitor just has 1 space. With animation space switch, I can have focus on my second monitor and then do space switch on my first monitor by just hovering my mouse on the first monitor. With animation disabled I have to click on my first monitor to change focus before I can space switch.
Hi! Found a small issue with using this shortcut to change spaces while in the "Mission Control" view, (Control+Up) where you can see all the spaces. Results in some weird jittering and bugginess.
Is there any way to work around this? Maybe just disabling this behavior if the user is currently in Mission Control?

I've been using yabai, and it's been working really well. Currently, when I switch between two apps — Chrome (in fullscreen mode) and Finder (not in fullscreen) — using AltTab, there's no transition animation at all. As far as I understand, this is likely because yabai interacts directly with macOS's WindowServer instead of using the native Mission Control or App Switcher, which allows it to bypass the default macOS animations and provide a much faster app switching experience. I'm not sure whether BTT (BetterTouchTool) is capable of achieving the same effect.。。。
