Some BTT users (myself included) are experiencing an issue where the virtual modifier actions, especially Modifier Down, freeze. The Modifier Up action does not always work as intended.
If I understand correctly, BTT works on a deeper level when remapping keys. Would it be possible (or make sense) to also program the Modifier Up actions at this deeper level? In other words, would it be possible to have an "all modifiers up" action that always ensures this happens?
Do you maybe have an example where it is causing issues for you? (the other user that you recently replied to about this was experiencing an other issue related to trackpad gestures that has already been fixed in the current alphas)
The modifier release is already happening at a very low level.
//edit: I have added a predefined action "All Modifier Keys Up" in 5.614, maybe it can help you!
Thanks Andreas, I wanted to test the new predefined action. To do this, I set up an “emergency” key sequence with ‘shift’ that sets all modifiers to “up.”
So, shift up --> all modifiers up. Unfortunately, BTT crashes.
Then I tried to extend my ESC “emergency key.” Until now, ESC also unblocked the keyboard, which works. If you add the modifier action, it Unfortunately no longer works.
