A comment on the Windows switcher

@Andreas_Hegenberg Let's say I open the menu with fn + tab. If I hold down fn, I can select a window with the mouse.

But once the mouse is over the menu, there is no way to close the menu again without selecting a window.

Wouldn't it be more practical if nothing was selected when the mouse left the menu again? I would find that more practical, at least

Would it be possible to implement this? Thanks!

you should always be able to close the window switcher by hitting esc

Unfortunately not. When fn is pressed, esc does not work. And if I release fn, the window is selected … of course before I press esc.

I could set a condition: if the menu is open, then fn + esc --> esc.
Is that what you mean?

weird, it should also work while FN is pressed. Do you maybe have fn+esc remapped to something else?

Ah, you're right... done. A quick look at “recently used” would have been enough, sorry.

While we're at it, what does the “symbol” in front of the window name mean?

And is the red star just a visual indicator, or can it be used for something else?

the star is just an indicator for windows that you have marked as favorite - just to make them easier to find. You can also search for favorite or star to only show starred windows.

the "viewfinder" / square dot icon marks the currently focused window (only if you are using sorting mode that doesn't have the focused window on top anyways)

Ah, and if I remember correctly, you wanted to add an option for these menus to stay open. I still think that's a very good idea. You probably haven't gotten around to it yet
